Links with Industry & the Work Place

Throughout their time at Castle EAST all pupils will have access to visits to a variety of work places and industries in our local area to support them to understand which industries there are in our areas and the job opportunities that exist within them.  Our current timetable is:

Year 5 and 6 - to be confirmed

Year 7 - Food and Farming

Year 8 - Sizewell B

Year 9 - Festival of Careers at East Coast College

Key Stage 4 - All pupils will be given a choice of work places to visit and from these they will choose up to three that most match their thoughts of their future career direction.  The current options include:

Norwich City Football Club

James Paget Hospital

Fen Farm

Bungay Fire Station

Sizewell/BT

Holmwood Care Home

Local shops

A car maintenance garage (details TBC)

There will also be visits to the school by the police and armed services to give careers talks to KS4 pupils.
