School Uniform

At Castle EAST school we strive to promote an ethos of high expectation which encourages effort, enjoyment and a celebration of the achievements of our pupils. These high standards are also reflected in the pride we take in our school uniform. Our school uniform is important to us. It is one way in which we identify ourselves as a school community and it promotes a strong, cohesive school identity which supports high standards, expectation and aspiration in all areas of school life. It promotes harmony between different groups represented in the school. Smartness and high standards are expected at all times.

At Castle EAST School, we believe that a school uniform is important because it:

• Contributes to a sense of belonging
• Fosters a feeling of pride and unity
• Reduces “fashion competition” between children
• Looks smart
• Wears well

All children should wear the uniform and we encourage them to maintain an acceptable standard of clean and tidy dress in school.

Our school uniform has been carefully developed with consideration given to ensuring that it provides our pupils with the opportunity to feel like they are part of the school community whilst taking into account the sensory needs that may be present as part of their profile of need.  Our uniform has been designed to be simple, provide unity for our pupils and is readily available and inexpensive.

School Uniform:

• White, collared polo shirt with school logo - available from Screens of Lowestoft
• Navy 1/4 zip sweatshirt with school logo - available from Screen of Lowestoft
• Black school trousers or black knee length school shorts 
• Black school skirt (Knee length, Straight or A-line style)
• Black, grey or white socks / tights
• Plain black shoes
• School coat *

* please note hoodies are not part of our school uniform in any form.

PE Kit:

• Green PE T-shirt with school logo - 2 material options available from Screens of Lowestoft
• Plain navy shorts / plain navy tracksuit bottoms
• Sports trainers
